For those of you that do not know what a time lapse is, here is a short explanation. This is from the Merriam-Webster dictionary –—used to describe a way of filming something in which many photographs are taken over a long period of time and are shown quickly in a series so that a slow action (such as the opening of a flower bud) appears to happen quickly . In this case we are capturing images of the construction of a home addition. The builder is Arlington Custom Builders. We set up the camera in February on a 12′ post on the property. Construction began soon after and we captured the build from the time the foundation was poured until now when the stucco and roof tiles are being installed. We are also doing video footage of the construction both inside and outside. Once we have finished capturing the entire construction we will edit the footage- tens of thousands of still images that will be made into a video running approx. 2 minutes. To give you a visual idea of what we are doing a short clip has been attached to show just a bit of the construction. The camera takes images at various intervals during the day. We adjust the timing based upon the activity taking place on the job. Stay tuned for the finished project coming up in the next couple of months. If there is a project that you think would benefit from having a time lapse, please give us a call, (602)788-3686, as we have the knowledge and experience to deliver a first class video you can be proud of for years to come!
